Peanut Butter Bars
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter, melted or soft
½ cup peanut butter
1 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 cups flour
1 cups oatmeal
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together sugars, butter, and peanut butter. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Spread mixture in 9x13 inch pan, that has been sprayed with nonstick baking spray. Bake for about about 12 minutes or until very lightly browned.
Drop spoonfuls of creamy peanut butter onto hot cookie bar. As peanut butter softens, spread evenly over cookie bar. Cool completely and chill to harden peanut butter before frosting with chocolate frosting.
Chocolate Frosting
4 tablespoons (¼ cup) butter, melted
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
Mix all ingredients with a hand mixer until smooth and spread on top of bars.
